This haiku inspired the music:

“the milky-way
at midnight
a drunkard dances”

April 2018, Paris and Los Angeles.

Clarinet performance inspired by Yusef Lateef and performed by Gustavo Bulgach in Los Angeles, recorded on his telephone and sent to Paris where it was edited, harmonized and used as the basis of this composition, added Fender Rhodes, Upright Bass, brass samples and electronica.

Music for this haiku:
“he won’t go to sleep
unless we play him the tune
that keeps him awake”
